Snow! You can probably spot the flowering bush on the left, but the tree in the picture on the right had flowers too.

This is the Marriott near O'Hare Airport, on the western edge of Chicago. The VUGM sessions were here, although I stayed about a half mile away at a Holiday Inn.

Fort Worth: April 29, 2000 |
This is a view east down West 7th Street. The tall buildings in the distance are downtown Fort Worth, about 3 1/2 miles away. Oh yeah, and that's my car parked there.

This is where the tornado damage started, taken near the location of the picture above, at the corner of West 7th St and Monticello. The brown brick building with the boarded up windows is a restaurant.

This is a few blocks east of the above pictures, at the corner of West 7th St and University Dr. These are the twisted iron girders I mentioned in an e-mail.
The Cash America Building, the building that sustained the greatest damage, on W 7th St, east of University Dr, west of downtown, on the eastern bank of the Trinity River.
A close-up of the western face of the Cash America building. There were people inside the building at the time of the tornado, yet no one was seriously injured.

This building is on the western edge of downtown Fort Worth, a little northeast of the Cash America building.
This is the Bank One tower in downtown Fort Worth. The faces of the building were completely glass. The western face is now almost completely plywood.

And a close-up of the Bank One tower.

I needed to finish the roll of film, but I don't mind having pictures of what will soon be my former office.
